Thrift shopping has become a huge trend in recent years. There's just something about finding stylish clothes from yesteryears and rocking unique outfits that don't hurt your wallet!
Whether you're new to the thrifting scene, or a self-professed veteran, here are three thrift stores that not only have your favourite second-hand, bundle goods; the proceeds from these stores also go towards helping some good causes.
1. Bless Shop

Bless Shop was started by SIBKL to help less fortunate communities. Among the communities that they give back to include Kenosis, a local drug rehabilitation centre, along with giving education and food to Myanmarese refugee children.
Unlike many large scale thrift shops, Bless Shop is very organised, making it easy to find what you want without getting overwhelmed with the different selections. Prices start at a very modest RM3 and they have branches at various locations in Kuala Lumpur, Petaling Jaya and Klang.
2. Bargain Basement

Unlike Bless Shop, Bargain Basement is fairly new, having launched only in 2016. However, they have made great strides in giving back to the community, having donated their sales to over 20 homes, including children's homes and nursing homes.
Selling everything from clothes to houseware and books, there's nothing you can't find here. With many companies giving their extra stock to Bargain Basement, you'll be pleased to know that 20% of their items are new! Find them at either IOI City Mall or IOI Mall.
3. Parents Without Partners

This jumble station which started in Jaya One gives back to the NGO of the same name, which contributes towards single parents raising their children alone. The funds help these single parents pay for daily necessities for their household like food and rent.
With a store in Jaya One and USJ1, items are reasonably priced, with standard items like books and clothes having fixed prices. Their items are pretty good quality and you'll find an assortment of goods for any age.
