Have you ever had to speak or perform for a crowd before? It's a nerve-wracking experience for many, with some having stage fright because so many things could go wrong! What if you forget what you're supposed to do, or trip and fall? Or what if there's a technical difficulty and everyone laughs at you for it?
Well, the latter recently happened to Dato' Sri Siti Nurhaliza, but no one was laughing. She was performing at a charity concert with the Traditional Orchestra of Malaysia which was held at Penang's Balik Pulau Festival.
As she danced before beginning her song, there was no indication of what would happen next. Donning an elegant orange costume, videos show that she opened her mouth to sing... but no sound came out! As the video goes on it is clear that her microphone was not working.
Unlike the majority of us that would panic and look around, she keeps on singing as though nothing is wrong, making us wonder whether it's the video quality behind why we can't hear her voice, but the mic really was off! She delivered a seamless performance, dancing and singing her heart out.
The ever supportive audience sings along to the song, which only made the show better. Finally, after about a whole minute since her performance begins, she is passed a working mic as she delivers the rest of her song confidently, much to the cheers of the crowd!
Many people have praised the singer on social media, marvelling at her professionalism at handling the issue like a true performer!
Iya. Di Balik Pulau. Member aku kata dia tetap nyanyi n suara dia still dengar sampai middle hall 🤣 taktaula # ke apa..
