Remember when you first learned how to write? In primary school, a lot of us Malaysians had the little grip you slip onto your pencil that trains your fingers to hold the pencil properly. It made it harder to write, but also taught us how to write well, and write with flair.
Most of us escaped that phase still not really knowing how to hold a pencil, but having our handwriting mostly formed. Sure, our handwriting might have changed slightly over the years, but if you haven't made a conscious effort to change its style completely, you would most likely have had more or less the same handwriting throughout the years.
This is probably why we're so impressed with this girl's handwriting. At just 13 years of age, this school student from Nepal was awarded the Best Handwriting Award for her flawless penmanship. These days with technology making us lazy to write, Prakriti Malla has been said to be 'reviving a dying art'. Take a look:
It's so beautiful! She totally has talent that some of us only dream of having. In her essay here, she even writes that handwriting is an essential skill for both children and adults. Needless to say, the internet has a lot to say about her penmanship.
This could be considered a new font by Microsoft packages and it should be named Prakriti Malla .
What is even more interesting is how people have also shared their handwriting with the world! With some being neat and well-spaced, and others being cramped and illegible, it surely shows the many different personalities of people all across the globe.
