Launched in 2012, ScreenX is a panoramic cinema experience where the movie is not only projected on the main screen, but also leaks over to the left and right walls of the hall. No, not three separate screens, but kind of like this:

With Europe's first ScreenX cinema opened last year, it's clear that the demand for this innovative, wide-screen format is growing. "Spider-Man: Far From Home" is slated to be the first Sony Pictures movie to be released for ScreenX cinemas.
One can only imagine how the movie, which follows Peter Parker in the aftermath of Avengers: Endgame, will feel like for the viewer as they quite literally get to 'step into' the movie!

Although us Malaysians might not be able to watch the latest Marvel film with a 270-degree view, GSC Cinemas has announced that they will be launching Malaysia's first ScreenX cinema hall at their flagship cinema in 1 Utama, Selangor. Two more will be coming up in 2020 as well!

Once opened, Malaysia will join the 19 countries around the world which have begun using ScreenX technology in their halls, and our three halls will add to the 214 across the globe.
